Is there anyone besides me that is taking the Methadone treatment for drugs?

i am a patient at a methadone clinic in soouthern indianna, but i live in louisville,ky. i have been in treatment for 5+ yrs. I can onestly say it saved me! It propabably saved my life,(as well as my money!) i was a severe opiate addict! i had gone cold turkey off of oxy's and was clean for about 6 months, and even after 6 months i was still tired all the time felt like shit and just didn"t want to do ANYTHING!! so of corse, i relapsed! after a year of chasing pills AGAIN - I realized I could not do it alone. I thing every one needs help from some one. The counelors at the clinic I go to are awesome! as long as you don't use any illisit drugs (like xanax, or smoke pot) you will have a good experience. I got a weeks worth of take-homes 8 months after i started! now i only have to go 2x a month and see my counselor 1x a month. My life is so much simpler and im not always looking for my next fix so im not sick!  i don't know how the clinic you go to handles everything- but hopefully you have a possitive experience like i have!  i had to go to a clinic in indianna because the clics in kentucky  don't give out take-homes  the way indianna does. and it's only about a 45 min. drive from my house.  when i first started going to this clinic it was much closer (5 mins. from Louisville) thats when i had to go every day - except sunday! now they have new laws to where they have to be open EVERYDAY even on hollidays! i wish you well in you're recovery! no matter what you're family or anyone else says you are doing the rite thing! alot of people just don't understand unless they have been there! use it - just don't abuse it and you will be fine!  remember you're not ther to get high, you are ther to recover and feel normal again.
