Does anyone know about B12 deficiencies and nerve damage?

by WithDrawMe

I was weaned off Methadone (for Fibromyalgia), in March. I was on it for a little over 4 years. About a week after I had been completely off I began having tingling and numbness in my hands and legs from my knees to my toes. Not thinking much about it I let it go for about a month until it was becoming so bad I wanted to jump out the nearest window. My doc told me I needed to see a neurologist so I made an appt. It took about a month to get in. After seeing him he decided to check for heavy metal poisoning, porphoryia, B12 deficiency and alot of other tests that I can’t even pronounce much less spell. Needless to say my b12 was on the low side. They said normal is from I think 200-911 and mine was 280. My folate was also low. I was put on 2000mcg of b12 and 1mg of folate per day. I went back to neuro last week and he was not pleased that I have same symptoms with no improvement. Labs will be repeated tomorrow. Is there a possibility this is irreversible?
