Obviously, if you could “just stop” on your own, you would. Cold turkey results in relapse because the pain and other symptoms are just too unbearable; it can also be extremely dangerous because you can have seizures or other complications. Suboxone is a better detox drug than Methadone because it doesn’t give you the high that Methadone CAN (don’t ever let anyone tell you Methadone won’t make you high, because it can and does even in small doses) and it also has an ingredient that causes withdrawal if it is misued, where Methadone doesn’t. However, you could stay on the Methadone and start a gradual decrease in dose until you’re completely off. You also need some counselling to figure out why you started using in the first place; no one wakes up and decides to become an addict, there are underlying issues at work there and you’ve got to figure them out to avoid relpase. Don’t do it alone, don’t do it cold turkey. Find a rehab or an addictionologist that can help, or try the Suboxone. You’ve made a brave and admirable choice to stop. Good luck and Godspeed.

man im 22 and been dealing with a severe pain killer addiction for 6 years ever since i hurt my back it just got worse and worse till i was taking 6 oc80s a day on top of everything else. theres only one thing to help us and that in patient care trust me no one doesnt wanna admit it less then i do but this stuff destroys our lives man its not worth it. no matter how bad you feel it wont last forever…

With any addiction, the desire to beat it has to come from within yourself. If you really want to do it, you can, however painful it is, but if you are only doing it to please someone else then you will probably fail.

If you can look in a mirror and be 100% certain thay you really want to stop, for your own sake, then you will make it.

start selling em….you will enjoy the money more…….no……………….seriously you need to find a good friend that you can call everytime you get the urge to go out and buy them or use them……make sure they are reliable enough to back you up and not egg you on…..that should help you become free…

Ever hear of something called will power. Why dont you just not take them stay with a friend that will help you. or check into rehab instead of takeing some other addicting drug to quit another.
