It really varies but once you been physically dependent on opiates the withdrwawal and craving symptoms can start to show up with as short as 3 days use. After 9 months the person will most likely have to go through the whole "kick". It will be about 3 to 5 days of intense restlessness, fatigue, nausea, depression and anxiety.

I used Ibogaine to detox from opiates and methadone, it worked wonders for me.

Heroin addiction is the toughest drug addiction to deal with. Every day heroin addiction negatively impacts millions of American families and prevents millions of Heroin Addicts from living the lives they want to live. However, heroin addicts do have the choice to stop and Heroin Addiction can be overcome.

heh it\'s pretty awful. women are a lot worse about handling the withdrawals. it\'s not a fact i don\'t think but even rehab centers and stuff say women handle it much worse and i\'ve dated two different heroin addicts and they were both horrible about it. it is like your body is being put in a vice grip and squeezed and you're to weak to really move, plus vomitting, diarrhea, sneezing, etc. just like a terrible flu with a lot of pain. BUT, the worst part is the mental withdrawal. you literally FLIP out (personally, I have horrible panick attacks when withdrawing, to the point i start puking because i get so choked up on the fact that im not sure if im breathing right. its really bad. my girlfriend actually has seizures from withdrawal, it really is that bad.) uncontrollably and nothing else matters, SUBOXONE helps GREATLY with both. if you are interested in that girl you should get her on it asap. but...

listen to your friends advise and let the girl go, the more you try to help her the more you enable her to use. when she is using and you are helping her "get off" (or w.e ur doing) heroin, to her your just feeding her addiction. even if you're not buying her any drugs or giving her a dollar, just giving her emotional support, a ride home in the middle of the night or food to eat is ENABLING her to use. it's complicated, you don't want to get involved. she has to give it up herself and nothing you or anyone else do will change anything. i know from experience, give her up while you can.
