I took Tylenol PM while detoxing from Vicodin, will this prolong the withdrawal?

by WithDrawMe

Today is day 5 from my last Vicodin pills (actually 2 Norco Tablets) and for the first time I’m feeling functional. Not completely good, just lessened withdrawal symptoms. However, last night to help me sleep I took 2 Tylenol PM. Now I just found out that Tylenol PM contains about 500mg of acetaminophen which is the pain reliever in Vicodin. Am I feeling better only cause I just re-fed my addiction last night? Will my anxiety and pain start to kick in soon once the acetaminophen leaves my system? Or am I finally feeling better just cause its day 5 of my detoxing? Please help, I really don’t want to prolong this detox process as it is utterly horrible.

Thanks in advance!

I have been taking percocet 10/325 for a backhip injury. The doc had me di a random drug test to make sure I was taking my meds. I had taken them exactly as prescribed (6 a day). My drug test came back negative for percocet! I had even taken the dose THAT morning. I saw the doc a week later for injections into hip and back. The following week, I came back for my regular appt. & to get my new script. Long story short, I honestly did nothing to throw that test. He had me give him another sample (which I gladly did). Then decided I could have know and taken a percocet that morning! I was so appalled that he thought I was giving them or selling or whatever, that I walked out in shock. I have never used more than my doseage, never given pills away (or sold them). But, since he decided to go off the first drug test, he cut me off. At first I was angry but, I had been wanting to get off pills for the last year.
However, since my last does (6 days ago), I have had horrible withdrawls. Sneezing, weakness (so weak I cant even drive), vomiting, diarreha, migraines, high anxiety, etc. I almost called 911 2 days ago but, was able to work through it. My question is... when will these horrible withdrawl symptoms finally go away? Thought I was doing better yesterday. But, have been sick since I woke up. Please help! :)

The Tylenol is not going to do a thing. It is the Narcotic, the hydro that is addicting. By day 10 you might be feeling better. If it is getting better day by day you will be fine, if there is a day you felt Okay and than the next worse, it will be 21. I wrote a long answer to this and lost it so, this is the short version. When you start going to the bathroom normal it is all downhill. Pack in B-12 and proteins!!!

YOU will be fine. Tylenol is not addicting!
